Istanbul 2010 “Little Land Fish” Project Completed


The exhibition project called “Little Land Fish” organized by the European Mediterranean Arts Association (EMAA) in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts (EKATE) as part of the Istanbul 2010 Portable Art Project has been completed. As a result of the application process during which more than 80 works of art by 44 different artists were examined by the curatorial team formed by Zeynep Yasa Yaman, Antonis Danos, Argyro Toumazou and Dilek Karaaziz Şener, 21 works by 16 artists were selected to take part in the “Little Land Fish” exhibition to be presented as part of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture projects. On June 10, 2010, the works will be exhibited and on June 11, 2010, a panel about the Cypriot contemporary art will be held.
This activity is supported by the İstanbul 2010 Office and Engage Project that is financed by the United Nations Development Programme - Action for Cooperation and Trust (UNDP-ACT) in Cyprus and supported by The Management Centre & NGO Support Centre .The artists who will participate in the “Little Land Fish” exhibition are Serhat Selışık - Doğuş Bozkurt,  Mustafa Erkan, Zehra Şonya, Özgül Ezgin, Grup 102, Klitsa Antoniou, Vicky Pericleous, Tatiana Ferahian, Katerina Attalidou, Melita Kouta, Yianos Economou, Adi Atassi, Andreas Sava, Nikos Kouroussis, Lia Lapithi and Yioula Hatzigeorgiou.
According to the announcement made by the associations, the “Little Land Fish” exhibition will also be displayed in Cyprus in October 2010.
