“Regulation on Aid to Fine Arts-Related Associations”
A new regulation implemented by the Directorate of the Office of Cultural Affairs has enabled projects to be realized and relaxed associations’ financial worries. Implemented for the first time, this regulation provides some financial assistance for projects that have been approved and passed through the ten-person elective council. This financial aid is creating an opportunity to realize at least some of the projects organized by the associations in a country where sponsorship is very hard to come by. In 2005 the ten billion lira put aside for this fund was been spent on financing eleven projects. The EMAA Art Journal, and the Art Aware exhibition with its catalog, were among the presented and approved projects. We thank the responsible authority, which has played a major role in continuing the active momentum our association has developed through its efforts.
