Art Aware II Concluded  
Second of the series of causeries, which we have started since 2003, when the borders were opened, was concluded with the exhibition held at the Famagusta Gate from 11 to 22 June. The activity, which has risen from the need of two communities for knowing each other better, continued by improving its content. Hosted this year by the Goethe Zentrum at the buffer zone, causeries met art fans on first Sunday night of each month. Alongside Osman Keten, Daphne Tirimikliniotou, Sophia Hadjipapa, Carla Abrantes, Heidi Trautmann, Angelo Evangelou, Horst Eeierstall, Houring Torossian, Ateş Kozal, Hüseyin Özinal, Martin Meason, İsmet Tatar, Güner Pir, Ayhan Menteş, Panikos Tembriotis, Vedia Okutan, Ina Waber and Tim Trantenroth from Germany have participated in the series of causeries, which encompassed other artists living in Cyprus. Dr. Rolf Kaiser, German Ambassador to Nicosia opened the exhibition, which dragged a great attention. A two-part film titled, “Gestures of Reconciliation” was shown during the exhibition. The Art Aware II Catalogue in 3 languages was submitted to art fans during the opening of the exhibition. Art Aware II causeries and activities sponsored by the Culture Service of the republic of Cyprus continues to be the place for developing new common projects, especially by strengthening the relations between artists.
