*Boomer response curve (SPL) is geared towards people looking for maximum loudness. This style box will be louder than the flat response curve at some frequencies, has a high impedance rise, and can utilize an amplifier rated at a slightly higher RMS than the subwoofer.

*Enclosure recommendations do not account for subwoofer, bracing, and port displacement.

Pleasantly surprised!!

I wanted add just a bit more low end to the factory Harman Kardon system in my Mercedes R-class while maintaining my rear cargo space, so I first added an old school Fosagate amp and a competitor's 6.5" sub (rhymes with "star") in a small sealed box. The result was so-so, but not what I desired, so I decided to replace the sub with this CTSounds 6.5" (along with a slightly larger box), and holy cow what a difference! The sound is much cleaner and acoustically smoother for sure. Granted, it doesn't hit the lows like the larger subs I have in my other vehicles, but I don't expect it to defy the laws of physics either. For its size and price point, I'd say it's pretty dang hard to beat!

Great little thumpers!!

Purchased a pair of the Tropo 6.5"s into a Gately box and paired it with an Audison 6.500 amp and boy does this sound good for a pair of 6.5"s. You're not gonna win any SPL comps but this hits like you wouldn't believe. Just right for what I was looking for.

Tropo-6-5

First 6.5” subwoofer ever and definitely size can be deceiving. Installed in my smaller portable builds and amazed by how low the can hit, tuned at 35hz. Don’t expect to produce high SPL. Perfect for those who just want a little bit of noticeable bass without sacrificing space. Highly recommend. I’ve tested it in my car and on the outside it sounds like a 10” sub.

Tropo 6.5

I have always had great experience with CT Sounds. Never had a bad shipment or a bad product. These subwoofers are the same way. Thanks again for the great product and timely shipping.
